In search of Nessie at Loch Ness

We arrived safe and sound at the Loch Ness caravan park and so far so good, no major issues. The site is on the banks of Loch Ness and our caravan is parked in a stunning location just six feet from the edge!… Benny reckoned this would be a perfect position for him to watch out for Nessie.

The weather has been somewhat of a challenge with sunshine, rainbows, driving rain, high winds and even hailstones… the long spell of sunshine in April seems so far away.

Despite the weather, we managed to visit the waterfalls at Invermoristan, the canal locks at Fort Augustus, we found Nessie posing for photos in Drumnadrochit and just round the corner is Urquhart castle. Around almost every bend in the road we found stunning views and photo opportunities.

Next stop… the Isle of Skye where I suspect we will have a week with no mobile phone, internet or TV signal…but we will have plenty of wind and rain from what we have seen of the forecast. It seems to be a bit of a theme here in Scotland.

Happy weekend to all of you back in the real world… hope you have a good one.
