From the lochs to the lakes...

After a short stopover in Moffat where we visited Gretna Green, we are now back in England for a few weeks. In Keswick we have already had more sunshine in the last 3 days than the previous 6 weeks in Scotland! not quite as much rain! and a lot less of the “wee beasties”… Result! and Sarah has almost overcome her fear of the sound of bagpipes...

On arrival at Keswick we were greeted by Steve and Di who had coincidently booked to be at the same site and were parked just three pitches away from ours… what a small world! We even managed a cycle ride up the hills to the Castlerigg Stone circles with them for some “Druid spotting” before the summer solstice.

We have got a great pitch here in Keswick right by the lake… although we have heard that everyone was evacuated last year at 3am when the lake flooded so may not be such a great pitch after all!

We have John’s Mum and Dad coming today and Ant and Lisa at the weekend (yippee, can’t wait to see them again).
