Despite the weather, we have had a nice couple of days. We took the train from Fort William to Mallaig, which was voted ‘one of the worlds most scenic railway journeys’ and the views were exactly as promised… Sarah made us do the sensible ‘budget’ version of course, so we took the normal train rather than the steam train but the view was the same and it saved us £75, which we can put towards more beer. We took about 300 photos out of the train window and managed a couple of good shots. Sarah got excited at taking the ‘Best picture of the day’ and then accidentally deleted it… she should have been blonde really!!

Today we woke up to SUNSHINE so we skipped breakfast and went out on the bikes before the rain came. It was not far away and about 2 miles down the road the heavens opened and we were drenched but it was good fun anyway and we got some more great photos.
Benny says “Hi”, he is just chilling on the sofa. He seems to have settled into the gypsy lifestyle quite easily and has been behaving himself… well most of the time!
Hi sounds a bit wet up there, but if it's any consolation it is here as well.I am afraid in the highlands o scotland the rain dancer dosen't always know when to stop, but it is beautiful country......Enjoy.....xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're having a great time despite the weather. Fingers crossed for a swift improvement and then it'll be worth the wait. Richard says if it makes you feel better even in sunny weather the summit of Ben Nevis is nearly always covered in cloud. Not convinced that'll help...Richard and Jayne
