Can I just say that being in a caravan at below zero temperatures without electric is no fun! This was extreme camping and I did not like it one bit. John would not know as he had run home to recharge the battery (allegedly) but me and Benny snuggled up and braved the cold together… which for those that know Benny will realise this is a very rare occasion.
We did however manage a visit to High Force with our first visitor Jo which was a lovely day… the calm before the storm.
I am sure that Barnard Castle is a lovely place when it is open but the only time we went was after our stressful day, we were starving and every pub in the town was closed. We settled for a takeaway pizza on the steps “CHAV” style.
William is now back with our heroes at TourerWorld to catch the little gremlin and we hope to be back under starters orders by the weekend... watch this space.
When I said I hoped there would be some dramas to read about I didn't expect anything so major so soon!! Hope it's not a sign of things to come.... (by the way being a thicky with the internet and that I don't know how to set myself up here so am just posting as anonymous)
